Getting LEAN at FRC

The “LEAN Train” at Fluid Regulators continues to roll. In our Manufacturing Department CNC machine operators attended 16 hours of set-up reduction training. Operators then analyzed their set-up processes and began implementing significant improvements. Some of the ideas that have been implemented include:

	Tools Kits for specific jobs - labeled and stored in a “point of use” location.
	Perishable tooling stored at “point of use”
	Preset holders with commonly used tooling
	Assignment of parts to specific cells to improve process consistency
	Gauge packages for each cell to improve consistency in measurement

Fluid Regulators is using the LEAN approach to insure that our customers receive the RIGHT PRODUCT, at the RIGHT TIME, at the RIGHT SERVICE LEVEL and the RIGHT PRICE. Fluid Regulators continues to pursue process improvements using Lean thinking as the foundation.
